Bug description:
[Test Case]
1) choose a solid black color for the Desktop Background to get a better
effect
2) open some program that has a good contrast to the desktop background
3) mouseover any of the unity icons in the launcher to show the tooltip
4) while the tooltip is shown press Super+ALT+D to show the Desktop
-> Verify that the background of the tooltip 'matches' the one on the
desktop
[Regression Potential]
Visual regressions, shell drawing problems. Big change, many regression
potentials.
Original description:
When A Unity Launcher Tooltip is shown and you press STRG+ALT+D to
show the Desktop the half-transparent Background of the Tooltip does
not update. Either it doesnt use true transparency or this is a bug.
to reproduce this use the following steps:
1) choose a dark wallpaper or solid black color for the Desktop
Background to get a better effect
2) open some program that has a good contrast to the desktop
background (website, filemanager or office programm if a dark
wallpaper is set
3) mouseover any of the unity icons in the launcher to show the
tooltip
4) while the tooltip is shown press STRG+ALT+D to show the Desktop
You will see that the Background of the tooltip is not updated to
match the Desktop. I don't know if this is intended but it may be a
bug if this was supposed to be true transparency in Unity 3D
