Laptop does not suspend upon closing the lid
Status in “gnome-power-manager” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
Closing the lid does not suspend the laptop despite power settings in
System Settings, it does not even start the screensaver.
It's an hp dm1z laptop running 12.10 alpha1. The suspend-on-closing-
lid used to work in pre-alpha quantal. Here's some system info:
