** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: Triaged => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/225432 Title: open context menu incomplete on directories Status in Nautilus: Incomplete Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Nautilus always shows one item less than it should in the "Open With" context menu. I first noticed this when trying to associate an application with a directory. Looking at ~/.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list shows that all of the correct apps are there. For example, if I have a line in mimeapps.list that looks like: inode/directory=totem.desktop;exfalso.desktop;gthumb.desktop; Only exfalso, and gthumb would show in the menu. If I add another item to the beginning of this list, totem shows up, but the first item is always missing. I should note that if you go to "Properties" in nautilus and then to "Open With" tab, it shows all of the correct items there. It almost feels like a fencepost error, but I can't find any evidence of that. I got as far as the function "nautilus_mime_get_applications_for_file" in "libnautilus-private /nautilus-mime-actions.c" in the package "nautilus-2.22.2", but I don't know enough about the project or the best way to debug it.
