Title:
NetworkManager manages interfaces defined in /e/n/i with
"managed=false"
Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: network-manager
Ubuntu 9.10
/etc/network/interfaces:
auto lo eth0
iface lo inet loopback
iface eth0 inet dhcp
iface eth1 inet dhcp
/etc/NetworkManager/nm-system-settings.conf:
[main]
plugins=ifupdown,keyfile
[ifupdown]
managed=false
But NetworkManager plugin shows eth0 and eth1 "managed" (shows active
connection eth0 and allows modify "Auto eth1" and Auto eth0").
If /etc/network/interfaces contains "static" configuration (without
DHCP) of these interfaces, NetworkManager lets they "unmanaged".
[sorry my English, please]
