I had this problem before also but i got fixed. Now it's back for me again when I'm running vmware-player which suffers from the same problem!
Anyhow, a workaround for libreoffice that work for me back then ans still works is to change the link in /usr/bin/libreoffice to point to ../lib/libreoffice/program/soffice.bin instead of ../lib/libreoffice/program/soffice (mind the .bin at the end). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to libreoffice in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/896608 Title: Libreoffice Writer window not always visible in ALT-TAB switcher Status in “bamf” package in Ubuntu: New Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: When LibreOffice Writer is started by double-clicking on a .odt file, the Writer window is not always visible in the ALT-TAB switcher, while the window is clearly visible when pressing Super-W.
