Maybe related, maybe not: thunderbird crashes since approx. a week 100% within
5 secs (well after upgrade to 12.04!) with some "GLX stuff". (do I need this
for reading plaintext-emails?)
No addons, all disabled..

First my nvidia-driver didnt work , Vostro 3750 with dual-graphics, (really, I
dont know if it ever did work before, I dont need any 2d/3D acceleration at all)
Then after many tries to fix it I removed nvidia-current and since then the
intel glx-driver seems to work:
glxinfo | grep version
server glx version string: 1.4
client glx version string: 1.4
Thunderbird still crashes :( Is there any way to just disable this glx-
stuff in TB?
