Title:
Dektop doesn't switch to selected window on Super+W

Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
I'm afraid this might be two bugs, but they affect pretty much the
  same action:

I use 4 (2x2) virtual desktops on my Unity. When I use the "grid" by
draging a window or application to the right edge, the window
maximizes on the right half of the screen, but when you take a close
look on the LEFT edge of the next virtual desktop, you can see the
border/shadow of that window at the very left edge. I assume this to
be the first bug, as it doesn't happen when I drag a window to the
left edge to use the grid and maximize it on the left half of the
  screen.

The second bug appears when I now use the key-combination Super+W or
just click on the according icon in the launcherbar on the left. You
usualy should get an overview of all opened windows and applications
and then, by left-clicking on them, the window appears and - if the
window is opened on another desktop - the the view switches to the
according desktop. But as soon as there is just the smallest edge of
the window, which is to be opened, on the current desktop the desktop
won't switch an you might just see a 1-pixel-Bar on top of your
  applications.

For example: I write this report in firefox on desktop 1 (top left)
and got my home folder opened in nautilus on desktop 2 (top right)
which I maximized on the right half of the screen. Neither clicking on
nautilus on Super+W nor clicking on the Nautilus icon in the launcher
switch to desktop 2! Moreover: when I switch to desktop 3 (buttom
left) and do this nothing even happens (I stay on desktop 3) but when
I do this on desktop 4 (buttom right) it supprisingly switches to the
  right window on desktop 2!

I hope you could follow my explanations an can reproduce this bug so
  it can be fixed!
