** This bug is no longer a duplicate of bug 951123 nautilus not natural scrolling ** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 966237 Scrolling directing is hard-coded/reversed from xinput -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/992007 Title: Reverse mouse wheel direction (aka Natural Scrolling) doesn't work in nautilus and other ubuntu applications since updating to 12.04 Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Up to ubuntu 11.10 it was possible to reverse the direction of the mouse wheel by appling a xmodmap with "pointer = 1 2 3 5 4 6 7 8 9 10 11 12". This now still works in Firefox but not in Nautilus, Software center, Gedit and others. "Natural Scrolling" is probably not for everyone but for those who work with OSX or tablet computers side by side with an ubuntu PC. (So please don't flame on it to be 'just' a bad idea because it's from Apple...)
