The problem still exists in Ubuntu Maverick (10.10) and Vinagre 2.30.2-1ubuntu1 - the same as the poster almost two years ago. The remote site is WinSSHd 5.26 on Windows Server 2008 R2.

It isn't, so the command fails and Vinagre gives "Error creating the SSH tunnel: Permission denied" error message and decides not to connect.
