I verified that this is still an issue in Ubuntu Software Center 5.1.14.1, Ubuntu Precise Beta 2.
** Description changed: software-center trunk r902, Ubuntu 10.04 software-center trunk r2338, Ubuntu 11.10 beta 1 + Ubuntu Software Center 5.1.14.1, Ubuntu Precise Beta 2 1. At the home screen, slowly type "linux" in the search field. What happens: The main pane goes completely grey after every keypress, before returning to the list of results. What should happen: The list should not flash -- it should remain visible while it is being filtered. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to software-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/605055 Title: Main pane flickers badly when typing search Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: software-center trunk r902, Ubuntu 10.04 software-center trunk r2338, Ubuntu 11.10 beta 1 Ubuntu Software Center 5.1.14.1, Ubuntu Precise Beta 2 1.
