Title: FF update in natty destroyed custom .desktop file Status in “firefox” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: I had made a custom unity quicklist for firefox by modifying /usr/share/applications/firefox.desktop The custom firefox.desktop file has been overwritten with the latest update, which means I no longer have my custom firefox menu in unity What I would like to see: dpkg noticing that the firefox.desktop file is different from the one the developer specified, and ask the user if they want to keep their own version or install the new one. I have seen this behaviour for several packages, so it must be possible to do this.
