I have changed the maximum number of server connections to the cache
from 5 to 2 now. The bug does not appear here anymore since. As I am the
only person affected by this problem the bug can be closed.

Title:
Not able to access subfolder in imap account

Status in “thunderbird” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
I changed my email account from pop3 to imap today. In the inbox of the old
pop3-account there are a lot of subfolders. After creating the imap-account in
thunderbird I started to copy all the subfolders from the pop3-inbox to the
imap-inbox. Doing so I get an error message when trying to access the subfolder
last copied to the imap-inbox.
The error message is: "Unable to connect to your IMAP server. You may have
exceeded the maximum number of connections to this server. If so use the
Advanced IMAP-Server settings dialog to reduce the number of cached connections"
This happens after the copying process is finished, regardless of the size of
the subfolder and happens everytime. The only way I have found to solve this
problem is by restarting Thunderbird.
