In Vinagre 2.30.2 (Ubuntu 10.04) there is the following message:

Vinagre comes with menu accelerators and keyboard shortcuts disabled by
default. The reason is to avoid the keys to be intercepted by the program, and
allow them to be sent to the remote machine.
You can change this behavior through the preferences dialog. For more
information, check the documentation.

I just want to say that I don't understand this message, but I'm not
totally new to VNC. So I guess this means the message could be
clearer. I went to look at the Vinagre manual and found section "2.4.
Some notes about Vinagre". There I think the text is much clearer, at
least I understood it. It reads:

Vinagre comes with menu accelerators and keyboard shortcuts disabled by
default. This avoids keys being intercepted by Vinagre when you wanted to send
those keys to the remote machine.
For instance, the keyboard shortcut to close a tab is Ctrl+W, but that key
combination will be sent to the remote machine by default.
</quote>
I suggest that the manual text be used to replace the message.
