Same problem here on fresh install of Feisty. No iPods (or anything else - apart from internal HDD + CD-ROM + DVD-R/W) attached. I have not moved home directory or changed anything else (knowingly) from default settings.
Problem occurs when adding wastebasket icon to lower panel.
