I installed feisty a few weeks ago. I've been moving things to the trash periodically, and have not yet emptied the trash.
I just noticed that the trash can icon on the top panel is showing an empty can, wheras usually it shows it full up. Wondering how that happened, I hovered the mouse over it. A tooltip appeared saying "No items in trash". Weird. I'm sure I haven't emptied it. I clicked on the icon to check whether it was really empty, but it wasn't. It had 96 items in it. I took a screenshot - see the attachment. I am using Compiz (Desktop Effects) and the Xgl server (since Desktop Effects wouldn't work without Xgl - I'm using the fglrx video drivers). I expect logging out and in again will fix the problem, but I'll hold off on doing that in case someone gets back to me with a request for more information while it's in this state. ** Attachment added: "screenshot" http://librarian.launchpad.net/7585975/notrash.png -- trash bin icon still look like empty https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/108270 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
