(On Feisty) Even when you do configure Rhythmbox to monitor the library it doesn't seem to work 100%; there are two issues:
1) It doesn't always get the files - I had two files marked as couldn't find the mime type of the file, but on reimport it worked - I'm _guessing_ that it is picking it up as soon as the file is created but before all the data has been sucked into it - SoundJuicer should probably lock or extract its files into a temporary directory and then atomically move once completed (in which case rhythymbox may need a defined pattern to ignore) 2) A feature I think iTunes can manage on Mac is to start playing as it is extracting; Rhythmbox should have a facility to start playing sound files as they are created so that as you import a source you can start listening as it continues to be extracted.
