Same issue here with Feisty using LaCie F.A. Porsche USB HD. It only has one XFS partition on it and yet I see the same errors described above. The only way to unumout is to run "sudo umount" on the partition. Running the command as a normal user gives "umount: /media/disk is not in the fstab (and you are not root)".
