Another issue with this functionality is that its "No CD/DVD" dialog is not transient to dialog which it's blocking, which is the only one shown in the panel. Newbie users wouldn't necessarily know how to get rid of the non-reacting dialog because it completely hides the "No CD/DVD" dialog one needs to get rid of first. (This can happen if some other window comes above these dialogs first and user then tops the dialog shown in the panel)
