The warnings are bug 2141831. The crash is just: ERROR: Settings schema 'org.gnome.mutter.wayland' does not contain a key named 'xwayland-scaling-factor'
which should be fixed with the release of: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mutter/50~beta-2ubuntu1 So the fix will be in Mutter. It's opinion as to whether we think gnome- control-center should be preventing this. Unfortunately the design of GTK makes it very hard to avoid the above kind of crash when a schema changes. So the usual way of avoiding it is to just depend on a newer package (mutter >= 50~beta). But I think in this case we'd all rather have a new version of gnome-control-center released ASAP for testing. ** Also affects: mutter (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Opinion ** Changed in: mutter (Ubuntu) Status: New => Fix Committed ** Changed in: mutter (Ubuntu) Milestone: None => ubuntu-26.04 ** Tags added: fixed-in-mutter-50.beta fixed-upstream -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2141837 Title: gnome-control-center crash clicking on 'Displays' To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/2141837/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
