After updating systemd from 259-1ubuntu2 to 259-1ubuntu3 on Ubuntu
26.04, mouse and touchpad clicks suddenly stop working.
The system logs show GNOME Shell losing input device control with errors:
"Could not open device /dev/input/event*:
GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.login1.NotInControl: You are not in control of this
session"
Switch to TTY and restart GDM (sudo systemctl restart gdm3) helped.
