Actually, not only that but DING uses GTK3 so it is software rendered.
So it has a shared memory copy of its window that may count against both
processes, and a graphics memory copy of the window for its texture that
is just gnome-shell's problem. DING could be improved in this respect by
completing the GTK4 port.
