Agreed it is not a driver bug. This is what I know so far: - It is not an FLTK Vulkan bug. - GNOME 47 and 48 work fine. - GNOME 49 shows the problem. - BOTH mutter and kwin_wayland on Ubuntu 25.10 show the issue, which is surprising. I am not yet 100% how familiar with the Vulkan - Wayland - Compositor pipeline works (I need to read on it). - Agred it is not an NVidia driver bug. I used the same driver on Ubuntu 25.04 and Ubuntu 25.10. I will remove the bug report on NVidia's site.
So I am left with: - My FLTK Vulkan port needs to be modified to some change in the new compositor/Vulkan versions that ship with Ubuntu 25.10. - Ubuntu 25.10 as the email says introduced a regression in some of its Vulkan/Wayland components. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to mutter in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2131651 Title: Vulkan stalls on GNOME 49 (regression from 48) with default nvidia drivers To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mutter/+bug/2131651/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
