I reproduced the bug with Wayland, switched to a different terminal, ran journalctl -b0 > journal.txt. But when I switched back to TTY2 (not sure if that's the proper term), Gnome shell was running fine and I could use it as normal.
So I did it again: 1. Log in with Wayland while moving mouse to reproduce bug; screen was blank 2. Switch to TTY6, didn't even bother logging in this gmie 3.
