This sounds like it could be https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/-/issues/3089 which is tentatively tracked in bug 2079799. But that should be fixed in GNOME 47 (Ubuntu 24.10). Aside from comment #17, is anyone else able to reproduce this bug on 24.10?
