On a 24.10 virtual machine I installed
gvfs{,-backends,common,daemons,fuse,libs} from proposed (version
1.56.1-1~ubuntu24.10.1) and rebooted.

  % grep gvfs /proc/mounts
  gvfsd-fuse /run/user/1000/gvfs fuse.gvfsd-fuse
rw,nosuid,nodev,relatime,user_id=1000,group_id=1000 0 0

Then in Nautilus I successfully logged into a public SFTP server,
test.rebex.net:22. I opened a text file there, whose contents displayed
fine.

I did not modify the file as it is a read-only SFTP, but this
modification part is covered by the One Drive section below.

::Admin

I did 'gnome-text-editor admin:///etc/sudoers' and a prompt for password
showed, once I entered it, the contents of /etc/sudoers were correctly
loaded by the text editor.

::Archive

I executed

  % /usr/libexec/gvfsd-archive file=file:///path/to/archive.zip

and verified that the archive was listed in Nautlius side bar, clicking
on it had its contents displayed in Nautilus.

::FTP

  % gio mount ftp://ftp.alsa-project.org/pub/lib/

Entered anonymous login with no password and

  % gio list ftp://ftp.alsa-project.org/pub/lib/

Listed a bunch of files.

Then just dismounted the share normally with:

  % gio mount -u ftp://ftp.alsa-project.org/pub/lib/

::Mounts monitor

I executed 'gio mount -o' and dismounted a CDROM file system from
Nautilus interface, whereupon this was output as expected:

--->
Mount pre-unmount:  'Ubuntu 24.10 amd64'
Volume changed:     'Ubuntu 24.10 amd64'
Volume changed:     'Ubuntu 24.10 amd64'
Mount changed:      'Ubuntu 24.10 amd64'
Mount removed:      'Ubuntu 24.10 amd64'
Drive changed:      'QEMU DVD-ROM'
Volume changed:     'CD/DVD Drive'
Drive changed:      'QEMU DVD-ROM'
Volume removed:     'CD/DVD Drive'
<---

::Network

As I initially had no dnssd resource, I first set a Samba share up and
then typed smb:///127.0.0.1/sambashare in Nautilus Network section.
Then:

  % gio list network:
  dnssd-server-Q1-UBUNTU-24-10-PC-I440FX-PIIX-1996._smb._tcp

::One Drive

I went to Gnome Control Center and set up my One Drive in online
accounts.

The One Drive entry showed in Nautilus side bar. I clicked it and in "My
files" folder, my One Drive files were listed.

I moved one file from my local file system into this One Drive mount and
it eventually showed up in onedrive.live.com, as well as modifications
done to that file.

  % cat /run/user/1000/gvfs/onedrive\:host\=*/My\ Files/a.txt
  [--File contents displayed fine--]

::Recent

  % gio list -ldu recent:
  recent:///networks    91      (regular)
  recent:///a   129     (regular)

which matches the "Recent" entry in Nautilus.

::SMB

Already done for Network section above.

::Trash

I deleted files 1 and 3 from inside Nautilus and then

  % gio list trash:
  3
  1

as expected.
