Public bug reported: The issue was [reported](https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/glib/-/issues/3516) in the glib repo. It was found that the fix had already been implemented, so I'm asking for a backport of the fix from https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/glib/-/merge_requests/3714 (and by extension, https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xdg/xdgmime/-/merge_requests/29)
