Public bug reported: [ Impact ]
If a window flows over the edge of a monitor (either into the void or another monitor), it's visible on the wrong workspace while animating the transition between desktop and overview. For example, if nautilus was hanging off the left edge of a monitor, when swapping between the window overview and desktop, nautilus would be visible during the animation on the workspace left of it. Coming from: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/7364 [ Test case ] 0. Open a new window 1. Move to the right workspace (Ctrl+alt+right-arrow) 2. Open another window and move it partially offscreen on the left side 3. Hit super key 4. The window should not flash on the first workspace during animation The bug visible in https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome- shell/-/issues/7364 video should not happen [ Regression potential ] A workspace window in the right position is not visible during animation ** Affects: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Importance: Medium Assignee: Marco Trevisan (Treviño) (3v1n0) Status: Fix Released ** Affects: gnome-shell (Ubuntu Noble) Importance: Medium Assignee: Marco Trevisan (Treviño) (3v1n0) Status: Fix Committed ** Also affects: gnome-shell (Ubuntu Noble) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: gnome-shell (Ubuntu Noble) Importance: Undecided => Medium ** Changed in: gnome-shell (Ubuntu Noble) Status: New => Fix Committed ** Changed in: gnome-shell (Ubuntu Noble) Assignee: (unassigned) => Marco Trevisan (Treviño) (3v1n0) ** Changed in: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Status: Fix Committed => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2084310 Title: Window overhang visible on wrong workspace during animation To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/2084310/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
