The dependencies of gnome-settings-daemon are: Depends: libspa-0.2-bluetooth | pulseaudio-module-bluetooth, pipewire-audio | pulseaudio, Recommends: pipewire-audio
Because pulseaudio and pulseaudio-module-bluetooth are installed, APT reorders those to the front, and this later on causes conflicts. I'm not sure if this was intentional. There are other dependency solutions here, if you run APT itself, it will install pipewire without an audio component. I don't think it makes sense to quirk this in u-r-u, it may make sense to drop the pulseaudio alternatives or add Depends: on pipewire-audio, libspa-0.2-bluetooth to the desktop meta packages that should pull it in. ** Also affects: gnome-settings-daemon (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: ubuntu-budgie-meta (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2078642 Title: Ubuntu upgrade 22 to 24 failed.
