It's definitely grey on dark grey. There is no black. Certainly viewing a screen in the sun will make it harder to see. But at least when indoors it should be visible as grey on dark grey. In more recent releases (24.04 maybe but definitely 24.10), it became a lighter grey on dark grey so that makes it easier to see.
If your monitor has gamma or contrast settings then try adjusting those. If there are no such settings then I'm not sure what the course of action would be without access to a colour calibration device to correct the display. Maybe a simpler solution is to install 24.04 instead of 22.04, or even consider changing the shell theme. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2030963 Title: Window/app switcher highlights hard to see To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-shell/+bug/2030963/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
