** Changed in: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Status: New => Triaged ** Changed in: switcheroo-control (Ubuntu) Status: New => Triaged ** Summary changed: - switcherooctl and "Launch using Discrete Graphics Card" don't work in Wayland sessions with Nvidia GPUs + switcherooctl and "Launch using Discrete Graphics Card" don't work in Wayland sessions with Nvidia drivers ** Description changed: switcherooctl and "Launch using Discrete Graphics Card" don't work in - Wayland sessions with Nvidia GPUs. + Wayland sessions with Nvidia drivers. Judging by the output of `switcherooctl`, it looks like it only knows how to switch GLX (Xorg sessions) and not EGL (Wayland sessions). This seems to be confirmed by the fact that GLX apps like Google Chrome are correctly launched on the discrete GPU. Just not native Wayland EGL apps. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2076975 Title: switcherooctl and "Launch using Discrete Graphics Card" don't work in Wayland sessions with Nvidia drivers To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/switcheroo-control/+bug/2076975/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
