Public bug reported: right-click and "extract here" does not give the same result as clicking into the tar.gz and hitting "extract".
I have a tar.gz file where if I run "tar -xzvf <file name>" I get a file that is 30 GB in size. Similarly, if I double left-click on the file, and click "extract" on the top left, then it extracts to about 30 GB. However, if I extract the same file by right clicking on it and hitting "extract here", I get an output that is about 5GB in size. If needed I can provide the file. Just contact me via email: carlos.gonza...@pivotal.aero Doubt it's relevant, but the file is an image built using yocto.
