The method stated in the documentation isn't new at all. Apart from that, here you have an example of actual usage of the /usr/share/gdm/greeter/autostart/ folder in the gdm3 package itself: https://git.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gdm3/tree/data/autostart/meson.build?id=dacc803f77a0877dceacc8eda825c98d17ba3914 Obviously, that part of gdm3 is also not working in Ubuntu 23.04, and that's not an opinion but a bug. Or maybe the documentation is just wrong and/or outdated. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gdm3 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2012309 Title: gdm3: autostart folder for .desktop files is not working in Ubuntu 23.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gdm3/+bug/2012309/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
