Yeah.. That "Couldn't get locale for language: (null)" warning comes
from a patch which I wrote initially, and first I feared that the
segfault is related to that. But it's not. I committed a fix which will
get rid of the warning in this situation:

But it still segfaults. For some reason it fails to fetch the user data
properly.

My thought is that since the problem seems to be gone in g-c-c 1:44~rc,
it's not worth it to figure out why exactly the alpha version crashes.
