** Description changed:

  Appearance is set to "dark" but sometimes background color for right-
  click menu, clock and other apps like Hexchat change to "default as
  shown in the screenshots.

+ If I chose another item in the gnome settings and open "Appearance"
+ again, it will also trigger this bug.
  
  The only solution is to change the "Color" setting in Settings ->
  Appearance and it will make it dark again.
