There's theoretically a reason that the triple buffering patch could cause the cursor to skip frames:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/-/merge_requests/1441#note_1568056 Although that's for CURSOR-ONLY FRAME SKIPS. If your whole screen is skipping the same frame then we're waiting for a larger mutter rework (v44 or v45) in which cursor movement is able to complete separately from screen redraws. That's what Xorg does. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to mutter in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1982560 Title: Mouse lag/stutter (missed frames) in Wayland sessions To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mutter/+bug/1982560/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
