https://salsa.debian.org/gnome-team/gnome-shell/-/commit/86ace441 may have served its purpose for a couple of days. But then this happened: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pkgbinarymangler/136 giving dh_translations the ability to create POT files when meson is in use. So what currently happens is: 1. The POT is created 2. The POT is modified with sed() 3. The POT is created again, overwriting the sed() modifications And we still have import problems as reported in bug #1756547. So the override in debian/rules needs to be changed to do things in the right order.
