Oh, that's slightly disappointing. Feel free to close this then. My
2-cent suggestion will be to replace those buttons completely with just
a caption directing the user to other parts of the control panel. It's a
bit confusing to have this button here given a more prominent section
for enabling/disabling wifi and bluetooth already exists in the panel
(and outside, in the indicator).


If I want to file a feature request to add the feature I was looking for, 
should I file a separate issue? The feature being to introduce a way to disable 
automatically disconnecting the wifi when laptop is idle.

I'll still need to figure out if this requires support from
NetworkManager, or if it already exposes an interface. I'll leave this
link here for anyone who wants to investigate further:

FWIW, the feature seems to have a modest demand given 56 stars on the
linked github gist.
