Dock is kind of the right word. The feature is called the "Ubuntu Dock". It's only in non-Ubuntu systems that it's called the Dash (by upstream Gnome Shell).
I don't think there's anything to fix here. In Ubuntu it is "Dock" and in upstream Gnome documentation it is the "Dash". They're actually separate projects too. The only confusion really is that you might find documentation for the Gnome Shell "Dash" in Ubuntu which Ubuntu does not use. ** Changed in: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Status: New => Opinion -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1854864 Title: "Dock" is used instead of "Dash" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/1854864/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
