This also happens in other office and text applications (geany, under ms office 2010 with wine, etc.) and other systems such as manjaro linux with gnome-shell 1:3.34.1+12+ga43c22e3a-1 and mutter 3.34.1+52+g403d8fcc-1 under Xorg. Wouldn't it be a mutter bug linked to implementation of the new clipboard?
