Also I agree that giving it low priority is to mischaracterise it, the bug is not specific of Ubuntu, it's a bug somewhere in Gnome shell or in Dash-to-dock that manifests when the dock is vertically stretched, as it happens to be Ubuntu default configuration. But this also happens, for example, in Manjaro, which ships a dock similarly stretched by default.
