Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-system-tools
If you erase /etc/network/interfaces network-admin freezes on startup. I believe network-admin should deal with this error condition by creating a new interfaces file containing at least entries for the loopback device. Don't know if it should try also to create entries for the other devices found, as this could interact badly with network-manager. ** Affects: gnome-system-tools (Ubuntu) Importance: Low Assignee: Ubuntu Desktop Bugs Status: Needs Info -- network-admin freezes when /etc/network/interfaces is missing https://beta.launchpad.net/bugs/93034 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
