It gets even more confusing for me when I have my locale set to the UK, but my time-zone is Japan, so I end up with "金曜日, 08 3月" for today's date. In other words, it's Japanese, but with the UK spacing and ordering of weekday-date-month (instead of month-date-weekday, with no commas or spaces). This just ends up confusing everyone.
