I've now took the time to read all the comments again. @Chris Billington: I really don't know what kind of drugs I was on when I wrote my comments here, but now I wish I never wrote most of that shit. Sebastien was absolutely right, this is not the place to discuss such feature requests. At that time I used to use Ubuntu, and I recall I was quite fed up with Gnome user experience. I can only guess I used the wrong tool to let off steam.
