Printer settings made in gnome-cups-manager are saved in ~/.cups/lpoptions and NOT to /etc/cups/ppd/printer.ppd Do changes in gnome-cups-manager reflect in ~/.cups/lpoptions ? >From which application did you try to print in grayscale? Please use the unaltered PPD again (*DefaultPrintoutMode: Normal) with Normal.Gray option set in gnome-cups-manager and try if you have the same result when printing from openoffice and gedit? ** Changed in: gnome-cups-manager (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Pascal De Vuyst Status: Unconfirmed => Needs Info -- changing settings (like paper size) have no effect in CUPS https://launchpad.net/bugs/92266 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
