According to the attached the problem is older than 2018-08-02. We would need logs from when the problem started happening to understand what caused it.
Please try running the following command and let us know if this fixes the issue: apt-get -f install If it doesn't, please inspect /var/log/apt/term.log* and /var/log/apt/history.log* and attach the relevant ones (the ones that include the first mention of a problem when installing/upgrading packages). If in doubt, the first archive should be enough: /var/log/apt/term.log.1.gz /var/log/apt/history.log.1.gz ** Changed in: gnome-software (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-software in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1786944 Title: package ubuntu-software 3.20.5-0ubuntu0.16.04.11 failed to install/upgrade: package ubuntu-software is not ready for configuration cannot configure (current status 'half-installed') To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-software/+bug/1786944/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
