Thanks Kieran. I think either synergy or uinput could qualify as "some program left your keyboard in the wrong state" as mentioned in the kbd_mode docs. So those use cases are less surprising.
What I would like to know is what part of the normal desktop experience (gdm3/mutter/Xorg/gnome-shell/other) is creating similar issues and leaving the keyboard in the wrong state. It might also be something from pre-login. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gdm3 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1508146 Title: Alt+left/right arrows switch between tty consoles (Gnome Shell vanishes), cannot disable To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gdm3/+bug/1508146/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
