I am experiencing this issue and it's just totally crippling. I can't keep a session going for more than a few minutes without suddenly losing the ability to interact with applications.
The specifics of my experience more closely match bug #1730229 - although that is marked as a duplicate of this one. Specifically, unlike this issue (but like bug #1730229), I am unable to use alt-f2 once the issue manifests itself. Other mentioned workarounds in this thread do not work for me, including switching-to-tty-and-back, logging-out-and-back-in, and alt-tab. I have also disabled gnome-shell extensions altogether and set the number of workspaces to 1. Any other ideas for a temporary workaround? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to mutter in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1181666 Title: gnome-shell randomly blocks mouse clicks from working in app windows To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-shell/+bug/1181666/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
