I just checked the current control center (1:2.18.0-0ubuntu1) in feisty and the bug is fixed/gone.
Probably due to some changes in libslab which provides the widget in question. It's a little puzzling why it appeared in the first place because I perused the libslab code and it looked very straightforward. Anyway, bug is gone.
