This is still an issue with 18.04. It's a little better because it now defaults to higher speeds in the driver. But even maxing out is too slow. I'm using:
$ cat /etc/udev/rules.d/10-trackpoint.rules ACTION=="add|change", SUBSYSTEM=="input", ATTR{name}=="TPPS/2 IBM TrackPoint", ATTR{device/sensitivity}="250", ATTR{device/speed}="250", And even then it's too slow. This together with this new bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input- libinput/+bug/1772189 Makes the trackpoint experience in 18.04 on this laptop really bad still. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1752813 Title: Pointer speed is too slow even in the fastest setting To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/1752813/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
