Public bug reported: When I run a Win7 Virtual Machine and attach my smartphone via USB (to run Samsung Smart Switch on the VM) gvfsd-mtp sucks up all of my 16G(!) of RAM and the system becomes unresponsive.
This same workflow worked without issue in 14.04 LTS.
